Season 1 was set to arrive on December 10th, however, Activision has just announced that it will be delaying Season 1 Of Cold War.
The New Release Day – After The Delay
It has been confirmed that Cold War Season 1 will be coming out on Wednesday December 16th, however, this isn’t all that bad and here is why:
- There will be more time spend on the update, making it better upon release
- There may be some more time to include new content.
- Activision have announced some more Season 1 news!
What’s Confirmed To Come?
- It has been confirmed that there will be a new 6v6 multiplayer map of the Black Ops 2 map Raid.
- Gunfight has been confirmed to come out with the Season 1 release.
- 2v2 Gunfight will be releasing with 4 brand new maps!
- There will be a new fireteam map.
- There will be new 6v6 maps (we don’t know all of them exactly).
- There will be new weapons releasing.
- There will be a Season 1 Battlepass.
- There will be a Cold War integration into Warzone.
- There will be a new Warzone map, Rebirth Island.
With these confirmations, there has been more maps than we anticipated to come out which is good news, along with other things which were leaked earlier.
These are just the confirmations, there may be even more content dropping with Season 1, all we need to do now is wait!
The new Season 1 update will defiantly make the game feel as it should have upon release with all the content coming.
What Do We Get As a Result Of The Delay?
Because of the 6 day delay, it has been confirmed that there will be double XP and also double weapon XP. This will run from December 12th-16th.
Also, If you sing into Cold War between December 8th and December 15th, you will unlock the Field Research bundle and the Certified bundle, pretty awesome! Each of these will contain a operator skin, calling card, weapon blueprint, new reticle and a new weapon charm.
Also, on December 8th, there will be a new update coming to Cold War which will feature a lot of quality improvements, this will get the game ready for Season 1 content to come and hopefully fix a lot of bugs currently in the game.
